*NAME OF THE EVENT*:- The Cricket Tournament

*OBJECTIVE*: Amidst the Pandemic where people were prohibited to their own houses and social life went online everybody lost touch to what human interaction actually meant.

Leo club of 5 Gardens being a newly established Organization the members were yet to get acquainted with each other - so to bring in some fun & to let the members within the club interact with each other the Fellowship Team of Leo Club of Five Garden came up with this idea of organizing a Cricket Tournament.

The primary thought of social interaction in-between the members along with underlying motive to bring in the participation of members in physical activity this particular event was announced.

To have a healthy committee is all the that the club aims for and what better than a sport event.

*DETAILED DESCRIPTION:*

The Cricket Tournament was held on the 17th Of January 2021 I.e. on a Sunday.

The Organizers had divided the No. of people participating into different teams. (It also included any relative or friends of the members if they wanted to join in)

Participation fees was ₹100/- per member

On the Event Day- all the members were called to assemble at the Turf (The Sports Square) by 10.00am for a short brief and for the toss.

As soon as all the members had assembled Leo Amit Machcha began with briefing all the members with the event flow.

Members were divided in 3 teams.

All the teams included at least one girl.

Having given the girls compulsory batting & bowling by mentioning it in the rules and keeping the matches general and healthy for all the members irrespective of gender.

The first 3 Matches that were played were league matches giving a chance to all the teams to play their best with 5 overs per innings.

The team with 2 wins were to be in the Finals directly but alas all the teams scores flared equal in the end.

Which brought us back to having another set of matches which helped us bring 2 teams to the finals.

The finals were conducted and we had our winning team.

The matches were conducted with humungous enthusiasm and at-most sportsmanship spirit.

All of this ended on an amazing note where people interacted well and the we found skilled cricket players.

*HOW MANY LEO’S:*

There were 29 Leo’s present.

*BENEFIT:*

The benefit to Leo’s was that all the members got to interact with each other and also got to know them on personal basis.

The other benefit we as members received was to know the physical capabilities of the members and we as a team could spread the message of the importance of having any physical activity in our day-to-day life to keep us active, agile & healthy.
